This is a detailed logo design for a tire shop located in Greensboro, North Carolina. This logo displays the Mexican flag to express the roots of the owner. It also displays the owner's white truck with a figure of himself, inspired by Luigi from the Mario Nintendo games. The white truck has been modified with tinted windows and rims to show that his shop specializes in all sorts of tires.

This logo took me about a month to complete, this was due to the many issues that I encountered during the whole process. I had issues with the truck design, character design, flag details, and font styles. The truck was inspired and referenced from the owner's own personal truck, he wanted his own truck in the logo. The problem was that based on the sketch that he sent me, I wasn't able to fully replicate that same truck of his onto the computer, and communication with him was not perfect. The character that he wanted me to reference was from Mario the game franchise, and I was fully aware of the copyright's potential problem but the owner insisted he wanted this character. The amount of details that the Mexican flag requires is insane, especially considering that not much of the details will be noticed from far. The owner couldn't decide what font style he wanted to use, this caused the project to be halted at one point.

The image on the top left was the original sketch and idea that the owner sent me.

The image in the top middle was my first sketch that I created in procreate.

The image on the top right was the second sketch that I created in procreate, this one had more detail because it was my final sketch before sending it over to trace in adobe illustrator.

The image on the bottom left was an image of the logo design with the character in blue clothes but the owner decided that a green shirt was better.

The image in the bottom middle was an image of different colored trucks to add variety to the collection.

The image on the bottom right was another variant that I created to expand more ideas. It was a wheel with rims as the background.

The tire shop owner wanted a logo to use on his company's shirts. He wanted to make sure these new shirts with the logo would look professional and appealing to the shop's clients. He said that later he would eventually consider using this logo for more areas in the company. The owner came from Mexico with nothing but a dream and he said little by little he has built his tire shop to become better than before. He says that seeing his logo come to life has made him feel more inspired and worthy because it shows that he was able to do all this through hard work. Although this project took me longer than any other logo design, I find comfort and feel satisfied knowing that I did my best to help a small business grow and look more professionally established.

To fix a lot of the issues that I encountered, I messaged the owner progress pictures so that he could give me his feedback. The owner sent me a picture of his truck so that I could use it as a reference but it only showed me the details that the owner wanted from his truck, which was mainly the rear end of the truck. Due to time, I ended up searching for a truck online similar to the owner's truck, and I found an exact truck like his that I used as a reference instead to complete his truck on illustrator. As for the character design, I encouraged the owner to edit the character of his to become more original looking. I changed aspects of the character to avoid it being completely a copy from another design. I changed the colors, logo, added more hair, and edited the clothes. The owner would eventually agree that the character was not necessary but still decided to use him as I had already finished him. The details of the Mexican flag took me days to complete because of how time consuming and frustrating the process was. I used a reference picture of the Mexican flag to create my own version, and my version was not one-hundred percent identical to the original because I couldn't fit every single detail into the flag but I tried my best to keep the main aspects of the eagle.

The image on the right is the final logo.

The image in the middle is a picture that I took one year later after the owner wearing his tire shop shirt. This was taken a year after I had completed his logo.

The image on the right is a version of the logo that I created that looked more appealing to me. When I meet the owner to see about the shirts, he had said that this version was a better option compared to his final results.
